The concepts I learned in the Program were stepping stones to develop new skills required in my current role.

Talk to us about your new job! Explain a little of what you do now.

I am a Machine Learning Researcher at Healthcare Systems Research & Analysis Inc. Here, I develop deep learning models for computer vision applications, build data pipelines and machine learning/deep learning models, and then test the results. I work with Python and its frameworks like Tensorflow, Numpy, OpenCV, and Matplotlib.

What do you appreciate most about your new career or what are you most hopeful for moving forward?

In my new career, I really appreciate the fact that I get to work on models end-to-end, i.e., from building data pipelines to training production-ready models.

What’s next? Tell us about you and your future career goals.

I look forward to continuously growing my expertise in the field of data science, constantly applying my skills to work, and learning new skills.

What advice would you give someone who wants to transition into a tech career?

Many folks transitioning into tech have self-doubt, so I encourage them to channel that energy into a relentless pursuit of knowledge.
